Stafford Springs, Connecticut. Known for it's mineral waters. In the earlier years it drew presidents, generals and politicians from all over the country, to bath in these healing waters known by the indians. Stafford Springs is known for the first resort in America.

You are home

We offer a beautiful lake at one end of our street and Heritage Park at the other. Behind our home you can escape into 200+ acres of wildlife refuge.

See if you can name some of the rarest birds I've ever seen. Stroll through our old town for the walking tours or use the guide for the driving tours.

We have Old Sturbridge Village 15 minutes away, an all day event. Eat at an original Tavern and enjoy the many local antique shops. Maps and area guides provided by the innkeeper.

The Innkeeper's Place is the oldest Bed & Breakfast around

Full of American History: Our home was built in 1778, and holds the history of Stafford Springs' earlier years.

From the wide plank floors, along with hand carved molding and chair rails, to the barreled ceilings and mullion window. The history of the place is still evident today.

Stafford is a quiet little place with all the makings of New England at it's best! We have little Antique Shops, Country Stores, a wonderful Historical Society, and the best of PURE country settings.

Our neighbors are right out of a Norman Rockwell portrait. Everyone knows each other and are very friendly. At times our good friends come by to help out with the inn and have a wonderful time visiting with our guests. We love to visit with our guests and share family stories.

The Innkeeper's Place isn't your norm of a B&B, we strive to make our place feel like home-away-from-home. PLUS! We tell our guests once they enter they leave as friends.
